The project depicts five natural resources of sorts, setting them along a continuum that ranges from zero to infinite in quantity (the ends of which are, in a sense, vanishing points). Each book-form is designed to echo, formally and in method of construction, the respective availability of the resource it represents (and subsequently its generically-perceived level of value). Each form also allows viewers to take a piece of it, the act of taking becoming increasingly more difficult/destructive as the quantity of a resource decreases, ending at impossibility of physical possession with zero quantity (nothingness). In allowing for the consumption, by the viewer, of each object, it also seeks to understand how our ideas about the value of a natural resource correlate to existing anxieties about its consumption and disappearance.
