Some transitions happen very gradually, almost imperceptibly; spring flows gradually into summer, day gradually into night. Unaware of a larger structure or your place within it, a series of steps can take you from one extreme to another, if each step is a small and gentle one.

An attempt to create this experience through language, this project links a seemingly innocuous string of synonyms together to achieve a slow but seismic shift in meaning. This string of likenesses inch across a divide, gradually moving a word toward its opposite.
